• Wake Hamilton

    MANAGING PARTNER

    Wake is a co-Founder and Managing Partner of Tectonic and focuses on the day-to-day management of the firm, sources new opportunities, maintains capital relationships, and oversees the execution of each project’s business plan.

    Prior to Tectonic, Wake worked in US Real Estate at The Carlyle Group, one of the worlds largest alternative asset management and investment firms. Prior to Carlyle, Wake was at Atlanta Property Group, a regional owner-operator of office and industrial properties.

    Wake received a BA in Economics and History from the University of Virginia. He sits on the Alumni Council at Charlotte Country Day School, the Advisory Board of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation and is a member of the Jefferson Scholars Foundation Shadwell Society.

  • Blanton Hamilton

    PARTNER

    Blanton is a co-Founder and Partner of Tectonic and oversees all development activity as well as new business opportunities. Blanton is also a co-Founder and Partner at Tribek Properties, a privately-owned real estate development and investment firm with assets of over $500 million.

    Prior to Tectonic and Tribek, Blanton worked at Childress Klein Properties and in the investment banking sector at SunTrust.

    Blanton received a MBA from the University of Virginia and a BSBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is an Angel Flight Volunteer Pilot and is the founder and benefactor of both the Hamilton Family Scholarship Fund for the Disability Resource Center at the University of Georgia and the Edgar Blanton Hamilton, III Narcolepsy Research Fund at Stanford University.

  • Scott Bortz

    PARTNER

    Scott is a Investment Partner with Tectonic. Scott is also a co-Founder and Partner at Tribek Properties, a privately-owned real estate development and investment firm with assets of over $500 million.

    Prior to Tribek, Scott worked at Childress Klein Properties and as a CPA at Coopers & Lybrand.

    Scott received both a MBA and BSBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a volunteer at Room in the Inn and is a current board member of Project One.

  • Michael Lewers

    DIRECTOR

    Mike is a Director of Investments at Tectonic and focuses on sourcing new acquisition and development opportunities, as well as the execution of each project’s business plan.

    Prior to Tectonic, Mike worked at Oxford Properties Group, a Canadian-based, global real estate investor, developer and manager. Mike worked in both the Boston and San Francisco offices on the leasing and asset management teams. Prior to Oxford, Mike spent a year committed to service with the JVC and worked as a program associate at Back on My Feet, a non-profit that uses fitness as a means to combat homelessness.

    Mike received a BS in Finance from Georgetown University and a MBA from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.

  • Anita Shahdad

    FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

    Anita is a Financial Controller with Tectonic and manages all reporting, bookkeeping, accounting, lease administration, and property management for the firm.

    Anita grew up in London, England where she began her commercial real estate career in airport management working on the construction team for the 5th terminal at British Airports Authority and Gatwick Airport’s North Terminal projects. She emigrated to the US with Piedmont Airlines in 1985 and has since worked with Southern Real Estate, The Chambers Group, and Tribek Properties.

    Anita holds a real estate brokers license in North and South Carolina and is a licensed General Contractor. Anita volunteers at the Dove’s Nest program and is dedicated to helping women become successful.
